There's a 36 mile stretch between Mammoth and T. Meadows in Yosemite National Park that is absolutely gorgeous. I left Mammoth with my hiking buddies, but ended up doing this stretch alone. Regrettably, Boulder and Scooter have decided to leave the trail and move on to other adventures in life. They had some scheduling conflicts, some overuse injuries, and some other passions to pursue. So I set out on my own, and found this unbelievable little campsite on the south side of Donahue Pass to spend the night before dropping into Yosemite:
