Summit of Mt. Whitney
I hiked up to the top of Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the continental US, for sunrise on June 13th. I basecamped at Guitar Lake and hiked the steep 4.5 miles to the summit starting around 2am, arriving just as the sky started to lighten around 4:30. Here is my journal entry from the following morning:
